Farmstead with roots dating back to the 17th century
Deep in Bryggfjelldalen, at the foot of Okstindan, lies Inderdalen Gård – a historic mountain farm with old log houses, cultural landscapes and a strong connection to local cultural heritage.
The farm has roots dating back to the 17th century and has been in the same family since 1742. Today, the history is carried forward through restoration, storytelling, food, baking, accommodation and experiences.
The log houses on the farm
The old buildings at Inderdalen Gård carry traces of generations of work, life and care. Timber walls, details, rooms and the farmyard tell the story of a mountain farm where people lived close to nature and made wise use of the resources around them.
The restoration has been carried out with respect for the cultural heritage, allowing the farm to remain a living place — not simply a memory of what once was.

The cultural landscape
The cultural landscape around Inderdalen Gård is an important part of the story. Here, nature and culture come together in a landscape shaped over generations by work, use and tradition.
Through walks, storytelling and experiences, we seek to show how the farm, the landscape, the water and the food are all connected.

Awards
Inderdalen Gård has been awarded the Olavsrosa in 2024 and the Nordland Cultural Landscape Award in 2019. These are valuable recognitions of the work of taking care of the farm, the cultural landscape and the traditions that belong to the place.
Through restoration, communication, food, baking and experiences, we want to bring history to life today.
